Do you know how to uninstall winXP PRO?
I am having problems with file sharing on WinXP Pro. I shared a directory, say doc as doc, on the same computer where doc is, when I use \\mypc\doc to view the share, I can see the printers shared under \\mypc on mypc. Of course, I will not be able to access this share on other PCs. What's wrong? Thanks.

Also, a clean install requires a CD of a previous qualifying OS, so it's important that people that have only oem restore CDs don't think that they can format, You can upgrade to the retail WinXP Pro from Win98, WinMe, WinNT 4.0, Win2K Pro, WinXP Home RC1, RC2, and Retail, and WinXP Pro RC1 and RC2.

Then WinXP is definitely the way to go. In a corporate environment, I wouldn't advise someone upgrade to XP unless there was some burning need (not likely), Can not open a system file, change something, and save it. XP would, by default, allow this. Again, don't confuse XP home with XP Pro when it comes to
